“2 COMMUNIQUÉ worked closely with the joint UIC and UIAA publication committee to develop a design that reflected the magazine’s proposed editorial mission, and incorporated the University’s skyline brand marks and campus palette. They responded quickly to our queries and patiently to our requests for revisions and delivered a product that fulfilled the aspirations of UIC administrators.”
The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC)
The University of Illinois underwent a restructuring, allowing each individual campus (Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield) to create their own unique brand and communications. After UIC completed their rebrand they wanted to redesign the school’s signature magazine to align with the school’s new bold look and feel. The redesign we developed utilized the school’s one font, Theinhardt, the bold color palette, and the baseline oriented composition. We also made recommendations for bolder photography and the incorporation of illustration and graphics.
