Thayer Academy Enrollment Communications

Print with Intention

The goal: Articulate key messages—verbal and visual—through a suite of sophisticated print materials.

Director of Marketing and Communications, Dan Callahan and Director of Admission, Jeff Dwyer, know that families looking at schools in the highly competitive Boston and South Shore market are familiar with Thayer Academy. What needed to be articulated: What makes Thayer unique.

Through our research we discovered three words the Head of School used when talking about Thayer: “Known. Connected. Prepared.” These words, what they mean at Thayer, and their interconnectedness became the foundation for the core messaging throughout the project.

Through the onsite visit we then experienced the school ourselves and drew on that for the visual inspiration. The architecture inspired a grid approach, new colors were introduced to complement the signature orange and black palette, and the photography captures authentic student engagement.

Together the travel piece and viewbook authentically capture the Thayer experience.

The complementary print pieces create an overarching brand narrative.
