Bowdoin College

The Bowdoin identity is confident and understated, embodying the intellectual sophistication of the school. But the community is also full of life and needed a spirit mark that captured their playful side. We researched early versions of the school’s mascot, the polar bear, along with the athletics mark, and developed a playful mark that harkens back to a historic version of the polar bear. The two versions allow for flexibility in application and is a character that you would want to hang out with.
